The Chill is EVER winding...

Today is Brianna's first day back to school this week.  The windchill is still below zero but at this rate, she will not have a summer if "snow days" continue.  She and I have been keeping ourselves busy.
Although, cabin fever and the need to put my toes in the sand is a real dream.

I am getting really excited as I have a Crop for a Cure next weekend and in March I will be out of town
4 days for a Scrapbooking Retreat.
I always enjoy time away to create and giggle with other women that enjoy
sharing their love of paper, glue, family, and memories.
It helps to have pretty paper as well.

I have a few layouts to post and then it is back in my studio for ME time.
Alone.
(at least until 3:40 PM)

The above layout was inspired by JUST G over at Studio Calico.
Her original layout was from 2009.
Still a classic design and I love it.

Above and below you will see more Christmas cards that I have kept.  I keep a special scrapbook for these types of pages.  I love great photos and appreciate friends and family that share their salutations with us through all special occasions.
You will recognize this special family as it is the Owners of Studio Calico.
April and Greg were one of the first families we met when we moved to Bowling Green.
Their family has grown from 2 to 5 since we moved here.  I hear there is another Foster on the way.

Above, over exposed photos can work.  It is the story that counts.  At least, to me!

Stay warm and HAPPY Creating.

Creative Below Zero!

Our weather here in Bowling Green is beyond cold.  We are having below zero temperatures and the windchill is just down right scary!  Brianna has not gone back to school since Christmas break began.  I am thinking tomorrow looks promising as we are supposed to be in the 20's.  So, she and I have been playing in my studio and she is being creative with lettering and doodling.

I am just creating some layouts that are self explanatory and well...allow for a "keepsake" of sort.
When you look below, you will see what I mean.

I am now creating in the 8.5" x 11" format to include with some of my 3 D-Ring Binders.
I already create with the 6" x 12" size and it is truly a favorite of mine.
However, I am digging the "letter format" as well.

So with out further ado,

In this year, I plan on blogging more and getting back in touch with creative friends and am really excited for a year with creative fun and enjoying life.

I will of course, be recording every step of the way!

Happy 2014 to ya!
