Wishing, I were there...

This is the first Fall since moving to Kentucky that I have not gone on a Scrapbooking Retreat.
Makes me kind of sad, really.  But we are planning on a retreat for Winter.  I plan on retreat for Spring as well.  I love and need those special moments away to be creative, silly, and have lots of girl talk and shopping at 1:00 AM and riding the rascal around the store.
Truly, this is the best time to go shopping.  No one is out and about.

So, this weekend I plan on doing some Christmas shopping and start my decorating.
I want to get back in my studio and make some special items for family.
This is my favorite time during the Holiday Season.
Thanksgiving and lots of love.
November is a month of great loss for our family and
I like to remember and glimpse back at the memories that have made it to my pages.
Those with us, those that have left us for a higher place, and those that are miles away.
I love you all.  You are NEVER forgotten.
You live within my scrapbooks.

Here are a few of my latest additions.

Hard to believe the two layouts above are from last year this weekend!

Tomorrow, Georgia will be at Auburn.
GO DAWGS!!

Busy Time of Year!

A few weeks ago I went to Camp Glisson in Dahlonega, Ga.  It was a great time seeing people I had not seen in years and taking the time to walk "literally" down memory lane and share a bit of our lives with one another.  Friends in Christ are Forever.

This is not everyone. Some of us were still walking around camp and taking in the new and wonderful happenings and growth that the camp has undergone throughout the previous decades since we were here.  We celebrated Rev. Bob Lanford.  He was instrumental in the success and preservation of Camp Glisson in the middle 70's to early 80's.

LUKE 12: 35 & 36

I am excited about the Holidays coming up.
Thanksgiving is a great time of the year for me.

Inspired by My Church!

Inspired with what is going on my church.
I love series teachings.
I love knowing that we have an agenda.
This allows me insight and a time to reflect and prepare.

1 CORINTHIANS 1:25

MATTHEW 1:23

I am journaling more in my Faith Journal these days versus my Bible Journaling.

I hope to share those as well, soon.
Have a great Thursday!

Behind the Eight Ball...

Simply trying to get caught up.  I have been scrapbooking and traveling back to Georgia for reunions and such here recently.  We are in the throws of volleyball, academic team, and of course football weekends with our favorite teams.  Fall is just as busy as Summer.

I love it.

PSALM 16:11

PSALM 33:5

GENESIS 5:28

These are great passages from the Bible.  I urge you to take a gander and try Bible Journaling.
It is greatly rewarding.

This Incredible Journey!

At heart, I am a traditional Scrapbooker.  Yep.  It is true.

However, being creative and opening my Bible Daily when I have my TAWG (Time Alone With God) has renewed my strength in my daily walk.  Some days are better than others and the good always out weighs the bad.  I think this comes with age.  Discernment, blessings, and yes...the Miracles of everyday life.  I am so blessed to have such a great church family as well.

with this said,
here are a few colors that are in my Bible.

JEREMIAH 1:5

Miracles are Real!

PSALM 77:14

He is the GOD who works Wonders!

V15ION

My inspirational journal that I have been keeping since the beginning of this year starts with the word VISION-V15ION

This is the word our church chose for 2015.

I thought now, is the time to start sharing this other part of my Spiritual Life-
my Faith Journal
and my Time Alone With God!

V15ION

EZEKIEL 37:1-14

Vision is the future.
Discernment.  I ask for this daily.

The Struggle Is Real...

but, so are the BLESSINGS!

In trials, I am reminded there is peace when seeking God to handle my problem.

Therefore, I love this verse...

LUKE 24:36

Peace to You!
Have a great weekend.

Throw Back Thursday...

GO.  Tell it.  House to House.
Hard to believe that when I was a "baby Christian" how hard it was for me to actually share the love of Christ and His message to others.  Now, it is not hard at all.
Keeping in the Word allows me to be and stand firm in my faith.

I love this verse,
ACTS 5: 42

Amazingly, I believe the "door to door" mission is far and few between now.
I can remember when there were many knocks throughout the week of someone spreading the Word of God or promoting their church and its community offerings.

Whatever happened to that?

Behold! Today, this is true and speaks to my heart.

Times of trial and transgressions.  This is a verse that reigns in my heart and mind.

ISAIAH 12:2

Amazing how verses can be connected throughout ones life in many different situations.

Today, once again, this verse SINGS to my Soul.

Thinking Back...

The Summer of 1983 was one of the most self identifying Summer's of my life.
I was a Village Camp Counselor at Camp Glisson
in Dahlonega, Georgia.  This particular Summer was grounded in the Theme of The Sermon on the Mount.  Also known as, The Beatitudes.

I am still moved by this Book.
Also, I learned that my Light can Shine before Men.

MATTHEW 5:1-11

MATTHEW 5:13-16

Today, I seek HIM for Strength and Understanding.

Another Warm Day...

This time last year, we were already wearing sweatshirts or long sleeved t-shirts.
Not the case today. We will have weather in the 80's today.
Not that I am wanting to give up on Summer,
but I am having a problem with what to wear considering the season.

Looking through some of my Bible Journals I fell upon this verse...

ISAIAH 44:9 & 11

It is hard to not get carried away with certain things in our society.
Hard to believe that loving seasonal clothing can be sinful, huh?
Everyday is a day to Overcome our Sinful Nature.

A Fantabulous Day on the Hump! Yep, I said it...

My daughter is on Fall Break this week and we are enjoying our time in my studio.
I have started a new adventure within my "Faith" time and how I share it.
My heart is a little nervous, but as I have been known to say,
Time Tells All Stories!

GO AHEAD, Color something that would inspire someone you love.

PSALM 86:5-7

I am constantly inspired by many in my everyday life.

Great Lines are Always Inspired!

I love reading in 2 Chronicles 19.

One of my favorite lines in the new Cinderella 2015 movie is,
"Have Courage and Be Kind!"

This is wonderful and this book not only touches on these "beattitudes," but
is an inspiration to the to the quote.  I
I try my best to live by these inspiring words.

2 CHRONICLES 19:11

Today is a great day.
HAVE COURAGE TO ATTEMPT ANYTHING.
This is why, today, I am trying something out of my box.

A Gorgeous Day!

I am pretty proud of my football teams this past weekend.  The Falcons are still undefeated and so are my Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.  However, my UGA Dawgs bit the dust.  Their record is 3-0.
It was a hard loss for all of us Dawg fans.

Here is my inspiration to share for this Monday!

JOEL 2:28

Thinking of those In the Carolina's due to flooding.
Prayers are lifted...

Inspirational Sunday!

I love reading Thessalonians.  It uplifts me and there are many verses that inspire me to be and do better.  I am reminded of the time when Christians met in Catacombs.

I am simply blessed beyond measure that today, I can go and worship publicly with my Church Family and not worry about the Romans/others lurking about to interfere with Praise and Worship for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 1:3

Faith and Endurance.
Courage and Kindness.

We were loved before we took a breath...

It is the weekend!
My Georgia Bulldogs will be playing the University of Alabama.
A great rivalry.  I am from a family that is torn between both teams.

With this said,
it is only appropriate for this verse to set the tone.

1 JOHN 4: 18,19

GO DAWGS!

Happy THIRTEENTH Birthday, Brianna!

My baby turns 13 today at 2:02 PM!  WOW...
Where does the time go?  She is the last to be in the house.
Virtually, Brianna has been an only child.
The fifth of our children, the only girl, and she has brought much laughter to our home.

Happy 13th Birthday!

Love you GREATLY!
Welcome to your TEENHOOD.

Another day of ACTS!

Today my daughter turns 13! Yes, 13.
She is creative and a lovely young teenager.
Smart, athletic, Beta Club, volleyball, Talented and Gifted leader at school,
and most importantly, a lover of Jesus.  I am proud that she is learning and has the passion to serve others that are not as fortunate than she is in this life.  I am proud that she loves her youth group and takes the time to ask questions no matter how hard they may be to answer.

With this said,

This is on my mind.
I hope you live a life full of COURAGE and BE KIND!

ACTS 27: 22-25

God has an amazing message.  We just need to study His Word.
I love you Brianna!!!

Thankful for the Rain!

We have not received much rain.  But enough that it makes the grass happy.
Hard to believe that this is the last day of September.
Where has the year gone already?
WOW!

Acts 19:11

The Old Testament...I kinda dig it.

Yes, I said it.  I love reading books from the Torah.
Getting past the genealogy is always a bear but I really love the lessons and I am always inspired.

I always find the lessons and stories relevant somewhere in my life either in my past or present.

LEVITICUS 23: 39-41

Monday, September 28, 2015

Ugggh, Monday!

It is the first day of the week to begin again.
There is a first time for everything, every time we give it to God.
It is nice to be refreshed and renewed.

Are you inspired to color in your Bible?
It is truly a new and refreshing way to be in the Word of God.

Stewardship...

I Love a Sunday where I am excited to walk out the door from an incredible Sermon.
My church and the people within its walls inspire me to always seek God.

2  CORINTHIANS 9: 7 & 12

How about you?

Water Color in my Bible!

Oh yes, Watercolor simply Rocks.
I love the way it sets up on a page.
It is simply adds that additional touch to make ones devotional time special.

Yep, I Color in My Bible!

It is actually a special Bible that I color in.  Totally hooked I am.
It allows me to be in the Word of God and inspired by a creative hand and medium.

Today, is no different.

Psalm 41: 4

I really enjoy using stamps and markers in my Bible to highlight my devotional time.

TBT in My Studio, today!

Each layout tells a story.  In 4.5 hours today, I created these scrapbook layouts.
All photos are from "Yester Year!"

12 layouts total.  Not bad at all!
It's Fall and it is when I usually scrap the most during all of the year.

The above layout has a "typo" on the date.  This has been changed to reflect, 2013.

Do not get too excited for these two postings in one day.
Very rare for me, indeed.
