Sisterhood Thursday Nights...

It is almost Halloween.  Wow, where did the year go?  I want SUMMER back.
Tonight is scrappy night at Sisterhood Monogramming in Auburn, Kentucky.

Here is what we do for a few hours.
Share our memories, play with paper, laugh, giggle, and snack.

Here is what I have completed the past few weeks.

All are 12 x 12 layouts.
I hope I have inspired you to collect memories.

Yuckie May weather and early morning scrappy.

Just simply using up my stash.
My paper addiction is under control, really.
Yes, I scrap  even the not so perfect photos.
It is the memory that is written that is most important.
This is why I enjoy journaling on my pages.

Hoping for a warmer weekend.

Yes, I am still here. Long time no post, huh?

My world is pretty busy here lately.  Vacations, school beginning again, scrapbooking, and the most exciting news...becoming a grandmother for the first time!  I will be called GiGi.  So, excited.  Laila Frances was born just in time for Brian (Pop) and I (GiGI) to celebrate our first Grandparents Day.

I cannot wait to start scrapping pages of my grand baby.  Until then, here are just a few of about 35 scrappy pages I have completed this Summer.

Hope to catch up soon!

It is FOOTBALL season, so...you know the drill.  I may or may not have time to post.  I really must get back into the swing of things.  Blogging is just not what it used to be, huh?!

Toodles!

Random Scrappy for a GREAT CAUSE!

This past Saturday was great fun with wonderful fellowship, food, laughter, and scrappy fun!
It was a gorgeous day and we all had a wonderful time.  Our group was the last to leave.  We scrapped and created until the bewitching hour.  We did not waste a minute.
I truly enjoyed myself and simply loved scrapping random photos.
These are always the best fun.
As usual...I brought more stuff than I used in creating my layouts.
This is always the case.

Without further ado;

I am thrilled that in March I will be attending a retreat for 3 nights and 4 days!
Wahooooooooooooo!!

Finally, Spring Weather...

I have not been active on my blog lately, simply because I have been busy with different activities.
Volleyball is big right now for us along with working in the yards and enjoying family time with cooking out and playing yard games such as Cornhole/Rathole.
I recently went on a scrapbooking retreat at The Narrow Way Bed and Breakfast
They are loads of fun and I plan on hanging with these creative ladies more often.

This was my fourth month this year visiting Roger and Karen at "The Narrows," as we call it.
I have had a great time each and every month, too.

Here are a few of my latest scrapbook pages.
I am currently making cards and doing a great deal of stamping and embossing.
I will be sharing those at a later date.

We are anxious for SUMMER BREAK!
Only 7 weeks until we head to the beach for a week of fun.

This summer will be full of all kinds of excitement.
Until next time, HAPPY SPRING!

Valentine Party...

Yesterday I was busy making little gift bags for Brianna and everyone in her classroom for their Valentine Party today.  I have never figured out why "now a days" (dating myself again) schools cannot just celebrate the day of whatever special occasion it is on the day it is actually intended.  I mean they have the party at the end of the day anyway.  So, what is the difference if it is Friday or Tuesday or Thursday?
I just know that Brianna gets excited about these little parties.
The higher the grade she is in it seems the parties are more controlled.
Micro-managed, structured, strict guidelines, or is it just me?
Either case, back in my day...we made Valentines and always something attached to our desk so receive our goodies and cards from classmates.
I kept the bags simple but still put each the name of each child on a tag
and attached to their bag with their initial.
For the teacher, I put her last name initial and her first name on the tag.  Can you pick it out?
Valentine Bags

25 Bags Total
I hope the children have a great time and enjoy the rush of sugar!
Have a Great Weekend.

What will you be doing for Valentine's Day?
