Life is Happening Faster these Days

What has been going on?  Lots!  Recently had the living room and kitchen repainted.  I am purging my rooster collection.  Still deciding to divide it up and give to my children and their families or simply sell it at a local consignment store.  The roosters are all over 14 years.  The only two I will keep will be the roosters my mother made when she was pregnant with me and they will be handed down, of course.  I went to a Crop for A Cure in February.  I really enjoy getting together and sharing creative time with other paper addicts.  So, today I finally took photos of the pages I completed in 8 hours.  Minus the giggles, eating and googling other work from great ladies.

New babies being born, vacations, travel, and lots of outside fun.

 

Seriously, I cannot wait to soak in the rays!



My Snow Kids!

I get up way before dawn each and everyday. My early morning ritual of coffee on, TAWG, and then the computer is just what I do. This week my routine has changed a bit and I have been pretty happy about it. I am busier than usual and it keeps my mind occupied and thoughts driven in a different direction that is positive. Several weeks ago when I was at an Art Festival I met a lady that made Snow Kids. She makes them out of old quilts and bath robes. She tea dyes some of them and I just could not believe the price she was selling these little cuties for. So, I bought 2 to sit on a sled that I once used as a young girl in Germany. I of course painted the sled several years ago and added poinsettia accents and now it is finally complete with two Snow Kids. They are my new Christmas favorite within our home. I simply added some ribbon to one of the kids as it seemed the Christmas Branch was rather bare. I thought I would brag about them today.

Foo Foo and Over the Top!

Yepper, I really went all out using up some of my scraps to create this miniature Birthday Party hat as a topper to my daughter's presents instead of a traditional bow.

I chose her favorite colors and used lots of glitter on the butterflies. The party will be held outside and of course, I wanted to incorporate lots of color for her birthday fun.

So, here are some peeks to the party hat and gifts I have adorned.

We do not have a particular theme this year.
However, we are going to a farm and all of the children will get to ride ponies!

I plan on making cupcakes and to make things easier...ice cream cups!
Oh yeah, the butterflies...they are a stamp from STUDIO CALICO!

The packages are all different sizes and I used American Crafts Ribbon to add that splash of more color! So, if you are thinking this is gaudy...then you are right.
Sometimes you gotta have a lot going on to make a statement!

I have much more to create for this super fun Birthday Party for my baby girl who will be 6 years old.
