Is Winter OVER, Yet?

Seriously?!  I have cabin fever with all of the cold weather, ice, snow, & wind making it colder than it actually is.  Usually this time of year we are already seeing the Crocus budding.  Ummm, not yet!
What is with that?!

So, I have been scrapping some warmer memories.

I am counting the days until SUMMER.  Until then, Valentine's Day is coming up and so is my Anniversary.
We plan on celebrating in Nashville.  I cannot wait to take some photos and share our fun.

Until then, stay warm and dry.
THINK SUMMER!

Random Scrappy for a GREAT CAUSE!

This past Saturday was great fun with wonderful fellowship, food, laughter, and scrappy fun!
It was a gorgeous day and we all had a wonderful time.  Our group was the last to leave.  We scrapped and created until the bewitching hour.  We did not waste a minute.
I truly enjoyed myself and simply loved scrapping random photos.
These are always the best fun.
As usual...I brought more stuff than I used in creating my layouts.
This is always the case.

Without further ado;

I am thrilled that in March I will be attending a retreat for 3 nights and 4 days!
Wahooooooooooooo!!

The Chill is EVER winding...

Today is Brianna's first day back to school this week.  The windchill is still below zero but at this rate, she will not have a summer if "snow days" continue.  She and I have been keeping ourselves busy.
Although, cabin fever and the need to put my toes in the sand is a real dream.

I am getting really excited as I have a Crop for a Cure next weekend and in March I will be out of town
4 days for a Scrapbooking Retreat.
I always enjoy time away to create and giggle with other women that enjoy
sharing their love of paper, glue, family, and memories.
It helps to have pretty paper as well.

I have a few layouts to post and then it is back in my studio for ME time.
Alone.
(at least until 3:40 PM)

The above layout was inspired by JUST G over at Studio Calico.
Her original layout was from 2009.
Still a classic design and I love it.

Above and below you will see more Christmas cards that I have kept.  I keep a special scrapbook for these types of pages.  I love great photos and appreciate friends and family that share their salutations with us through all special occasions.
You will recognize this special family as it is the Owners of Studio Calico.
April and Greg were one of the first families we met when we moved to Bowling Green.
Their family has grown from 2 to 5 since we moved here.  I hear there is another Foster on the way.

Above, over exposed photos can work.  It is the story that counts.  At least, to me!

Stay warm and HAPPY Creating.

Creative Below Zero!

Our weather here in Bowling Green is beyond cold.  We are having below zero temperatures and the windchill is just down right scary!  Brianna has not gone back to school since Christmas break began.  I am thinking tomorrow looks promising as we are supposed to be in the 20's.  So, she and I have been playing in my studio and she is being creative with lettering and doodling.

I am just creating some layouts that are self explanatory and well...allow for a "keepsake" of sort.
When you look below, you will see what I mean.

I am now creating in the 8.5" x 11" format to include with some of my 3 D-Ring Binders.
I already create with the 6" x 12" size and it is truly a favorite of mine.
However, I am digging the "letter format" as well.

So with out further ado,

In this year, I plan on blogging more and getting back in touch with creative friends and am really excited for a year with creative fun and enjoying life.

I will of course, be recording every step of the way!

Happy 2014 to ya!

'Tis the Season for JOY!

I have not been blogging much at all this year.  I hope this will change in the new year to come.  But as always, "TIME TELLS ALL STORIES!"

In the meantime, here are a few layouts I have completed this past weekend.

We are ready for Christmas here in Kentucky.  We will travel to Georgia within the week for more CHRISTMAS MERRY with family.

I hope you are having a creative and festive Holiday Season.
Until next time...

It's FALL Y'ALL!

And...that means FOOTBALL and Post Season Baseball!
Yes, it is a good time of the year.  However, I always mourn the end of Summer.

Lots happening in our neck of the woods.
Volleyball, Beta Club, Rockettes, Leader In Me, & Glee Club.
Brianna is a busy girl.  Tomorrow, she turns 11 years old.  Wow, where did the time go?

I know..."Where have I been?"

We have just had a crazy summer.  Summer camps, vacation, and preparing for my son's wedding.  He and his wife were married on August 10th.  It was a great evening.  Shortly thereafter, I had major surgery and I am still recovering but getting my strength back and ready for some Fall scrapping.

I am excited to be going with a group of friends in a few weeks for nothing but scrapbooking.  Our Fall is pretty booked with all of Brianna's activities and house projects for me.
Football of course, dominates our weekends right now.

I hope to be more active blogging once I get my new schedule under wraps.

Until next time, here are a few layouts I have recently completed.

See you next time and until then, enjoy the last few days of SUMMER!
