A Stitch In Time...

February's Kit at Art Freckles has some really fun things to scrap with this month. I took the name of the kit, *A Stitch In Time* and looked through some old photos of myself and created layouts about myself that I would have never used in the past.
I guess it is that old "I am insecure about me," kinda feeling.
But I threw that out the window with this kit and I like what I created.
I also created two cards for a friend who is currently recovering
from an extensive surgery and I wanted to brighten her day.
I also used this wonderful kit for Artist Trading Cards for a swap I am participating in as well.
Be sure to go check out Art Freckles' Store and I am sure you will find something to your liking. The kit is well priced and you will enjoy the creative fun!

Raining Cats and Dogs...

It's dark outside and the rain is pouring. Thunderstorms are to be all day. So, what a perfect day to do some scrapping. Well, I managed to complete some Artist Trading Cards for a swap I am participating in at Art Freckles and I just fell in love with the 'Bo Beep' stamp from Studio Calico. I simply adore her and she was fun to work with.
I am sure to stamp many images of Bo Beep in the future.

Without further ado, here they are! Stay dry and have a terrific hump day.

Artist Trading Swap Theme-"Journey"

I have mailed off my recent ATC's to Canada. I joined the "Journey" swap at Art Freckles. This is my interpretation of the swap and I sure hope the gals like them!
I loved using my Studio Calico-Label Map Stamp for this ATC.

I hope you are having a great week!

Color My World

Here are my latest in Artist Trading Cards. I am in a swap over at Bad Girls and this is the design I have created. I used watercolor pencils, wooden stamps, Tim Holtz ink, glossy accents, some "bling," and my own handwriting. I hope the girls like them.

Let me know what you think...

Scrappy Sunday...

I have been busy creating today in my scrap room. The weather has been dreary for so long that I now believe my eyes can see through the fog! I created more ATC's today and I was so darned proud of them and went back to Art Freckles to show my latest creation for the swap. I read the first post and realized..."OOOPS" all 5 have a different embellishment we were to use. So, back to the drawing board. I will send these as well considering I made these ATC's for the participants anyway. Go figure....I guess I should read ALL of the print next time! LOL

Art Freckles is a new kit club and I am really enjoying the boards right now. I do not feel overwhelmed or feel like I am missing anything and the inspiration is great. I invite you to check Art Freckles out and join in for an upcoming contest. All of the information is posted on the message board and the deadline for sign ups is January 15th. Hey, it does not cost anything because the theme is based on YOUR STASH! Speaking of Art Freckles, here is my latest layout I created for a challenge using felt. Sorry for the quality of photo but lately the rain and no sun take a toll on natural lighting. Thanks for looking and I hope to see you around Art Freckles!

New Addiction in Creating...

Yes, I am addicted to creating ATC's (Artist Trading Cards). I created these 10 cards for a swap I am in and I changed each one just a little to make them exclusively original for the owners. I hope to be collecting these myself from artists all over this year. They are fun to create and quite frankly...it is a great way use up my stash of goodies.

I have been scrapping more simple pages this weekend for my son's book. He prefers "simple" layouts or as he would say, "manly." But of course, I had to create a few for me and here is an example of one of my recent layouts from this weekend.

Well, the Winter Break is almost over for our family and we will be back into our regular routines this coming week. I am looking forward to slowing down a bit and getting back to my daily creating and time alone.

I hope your New Year has gotten off to a great start!

Another addiction coming...

Yes, I feel it coming on. Over at Studio Calico I joined an Artist Trading Card Swap. I signed up for 3 cards that will all be sent internationally. Well, I have never made ATC's before and here are my first 3 creations ever! I think I am truly and dearly addicted to them. They are just so much fun.

These will be mailed to the recipients by October 31, 2008. I cannot wait until I receive mine as well.
