Happily in ONEDERLAND!

Yes, I am finally there!
I have met my personal goal.
Now, to keep it up.
I would like to lose at minimum about 25 more pounds.
I have a feeling that these will be the hardest to lose.

I am now in ONE-derland.
For those not familiar with the term...
it simply means, "I am below 200 pounds!"
I hope to NEVER SEE a "2 or 3" as my first number on a scale, ever!

Healthier Lifestyle
Happily in ONE-derland!

This week I am busy preparing for an overnight crop.
I hope I can stay up.
It begins Friday night at 6:00 PM and ends 6:00 AM on Saturday morning.
Heck, I am usually in bed by 10:00 PM most nights.
It is going to be a great weekend.

Scrappin' Happy!

Not lots to say really.
I am just loving the day to myself.
Alone.
In my studio.

The above layout of course is a new favorite.
I love that I am part of the memories now.
I have always been part of them...I was just never in the photos as much as I am now.
Hmmm....wonder why?  LOL

Capsaicin & Vinegar makes a NEW NUMBER!

Yes, it is true!
I believe one reason for my continued weight-loss is my complete and utter addiction to "My Recipe" that I do not go one day without at least 3 servings.
These ingredients are a must have in abundance in our home.
I crave them.
I purchase them ALL FRESH from our local farmer's market.
I make it in a pico fashion and it goes with white or red meat.
One way I enjoy it is to add crab meat and eat as a salad.
YUMMO!
Red Onion-Diced

Cilantro-Finely Chopped

Garlic-Minced

Jalapeno Peppers-Diced

Vine Tomatoes-Diced

SEA Salt to taste

Vinegar- as a dressing
These ingredients make my taste buds ROCK!
They also help melt away pounds.

Summer Loving...having some fun!

Wow, this summer is simply flying by and we are keeping very busy with lots of family, food, fun, and of course...soaking in some rays.  I have so much to catch everyone up with that I just believe I will start in the middle with glimpses.  I have been creating but I have not finished two paintings that I am working on.
I have not taken the time to scrap or any other mixed media...I am simply concentrating on MAKING the MEMORIES that I can document when school is back in session.
Of which, by the way, is just one month away.  WOW!
So, to at least get something on my blog here...here are some glimpses...
MamMa Bea...she wore these Coca-Cola Pants every 4th of July

I dug through an old scrapbook from 2005- (the year I began scrapbooking) and pulled out this page to display in my kitchen.  Just a reminder of wonderful Fourth of July past events that were tradition.

New Baker's Rack for kitchen with side table to match.
I find myself really in love with dark woods and metal/iron.  So, I am revamping a bit.
 I started in the kitchen.

GLEE REVIEW at W.K.U Van Meter Hall/Auditorium
Brianna was on the BIG stage for an entire week which ended with a fabulous show.  We enjoyed ourselves greatly and she has been bitten by the MUSIC THEATRE/ACTING Bug.

New Towel  Rack/Signage
So, I painted the small bathroom and made it more masculine.  Studio Gray Valspar paint and a few goodies from a local store (door knobs) and I had Brian put them on stained wood to be used for towel hanging.
I decided I liked the silver/nickel color of the screws he used as the other colors in the bathroom are nickel and silver.  It looks great!
Hand Towel Rack
I had Brian do the same thing for the towel rack in the bathroom.  I like that the board is complementary to the other fixtures in the bathroom and it helps keep moisture from the towel away from the wall.

Emily and Zachary
Well....what can I say?  Zachary has found him a new girlfriend.  She is from Texas and moved to Kentucky recently.  They seem to be getting along great.

Stephen and Katie at the water park

Stephen and Katie on the Fourth of July
Stephen and Katie came up from Atlanta for the week of the Fourth of July.  We crammed lots of celebration in just 3 days and we really had a great time.  Nothing like visiting "the parents" while it is 105 degrees and 95% humidity.  Still, we had a great time.

Now, the NEW NUMBER!

Orange Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting (I will have one bite only).
Brianna decorated the cake for her Daddy.

Wrinkles and You Know..."The Droopies!"

Okay, considering I have lost a great deal of weight I never realized that I have actually grown, should I dare say it, "OLDER!"  Yes, it is true.  The wrinkles do not lie.  I moisturize daily several times and I am frantic about it after a shower because of water droplets that remain on my skin where I leave them there specifically to hold on to the water moisture that I so dreadfully and deliberately take out of my skin on a daily basis.

I know, I know...but I love the sun.  It makes me feel better and during the summer months I have NO PAINS in my joints.
If I do, they are GYM related.

G T L
gym, tan, life

But I have become thought filled with the aspects of actually having some plastic surgery.  Not what you are thinking though.  Not a face lift...GOD forbid!

I am thinking I will have my stomach done for sure.
But I have thought about face lifts lately and especially watching some celebrities that go under the knife or get "puffed up" for 3 months at a time.  It is just not the progression of things is it?

I mean, one could still know that you are aging if they personally know you or glance at certain areas of your body.  Knees are a for sure sign that you are older.
Skin between your legs.  The ever icky "ARM WINGS!"  Yes, those may have to be tucked as well.
But what about these parts?

Yes, so wrinkles are on my mind.
I eat well.  Better than I have ever eaten in my life.  Food is fuel
But do not get me wrong.  I do allow myself a bite or two of something
sinfully good.  Although, it is followed by the "how many calories were in those two bites?"
"What was the fat content of those two bites and how many grams of sugar?"
It can be nerve boggling.

I eat a great deal of protein.  Lean protein I might add.  Oatmeal is at least 3 days a week.
I add almond slivers for the texture.
I drink a great deal all day long.  Water, Tea, and Green Tea.  I am an lemon addict.
Vinegar, Tomato, Onion, Fresh Garlic, Cilantro, Jalapeno, and Feta Cheese.
My go to snack.

I just want to know...
why can't wrinkles be cute?

Know what I mean?

Creativity, New Numbers, & Men of Numbers

This is what I did.  I enjoyed a crop that was sponsored by Studio Calico
I loved meeting women within the Bowling Green area
and the ladies from April and Lorie's church were simply delightful.
I came home with some great scrapbook pages and
lots of fabulous goodies from Studio Calico.
Lorie and I had a great time scrapping together and she was a fabulous hostess!
I will be doing this again next year.
Thanks for the invite!

Mundane Happenings, really.

Chores, Counting Calories, Working Out, and of course...Creating.

Don't you just love the smell of FRESHLY IRONED SHIRTS?
I do.  While I was ironing today, this is what went through my mind.
Ironing while watching "Bridget Jones' Diary."
My husband always looks great going to work.
I see him in shorts, t-shirts, jeans, and of course his beloved sports attire that has his favorite football team proudly displayed and often faded from wearing it too much and continuing to hold
on to the shirt that would be regarded as BLASPHEMY should we ever get rid of it.
He is a man who loves his clothes and NEVER WEARS anything more than once to work
within a 3 week period.  Ummm, yes...he is a bit vain.
I wished I could say that about his weekend attire.
I love these patterns and colors.
Oh yeah, here is another happening today!
SSHHHHH....do not shout too loudly.
MY NEW NUMBER is
This is of course, in POUNDS!

That is about it for now.
Just wanted to catch you up!

OH, I am creating.
I will share once I have completed my latest project.
